The Area of the Dresden St.Peter Parish ranges the quarters Strehlen, Kaitz, Leubnitz, Nickern, Prohlis, Reick and Zschertnitz in Dresden's south and outlying the urban area the villages of Bannewitz, Goppeln and Rippien.
Among perhaps 90,000 inhabitants of this area, about 2,400 catholic believers belong to the parish. Each sunday some 500 believers assemle in this church in order to praise God in fraternal succession of Jesus Christ.
